Agency Agreements

Writer's picture: ZainabZainab

For Contract Law and Commercial Law modules, the topic of agency is covered to describe a situation when suppliers choose not to market the goods themselves but to use an intermediary.

An agency relationship arises where one party, the Principal (P), gives another, the Agent (A), the authority to act on his behalf. Any contract which is concluded by the A is binding on the third party - but in order to create a binding contract between the P and third party, the A must have authority to act.

Below are my notes and checklist for use on the LPC - this was my exam question last year so I highly recommend that you prepare well for all topics.
