One of my #LPC electives was Advanced Real Estate Law. I really enjoyed the core Real Estate module and thought this would be a good extension of that. The following topics were taught on the module:
The first topic was similar to the considerations and title investigation we did on the Real Estate course - I have shared my checklists for this here
The second topic was Environmental liability and solutions - we considered the environmental condition of a site which is being purchased for redevelopment. This required knowledge of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Below is my checklist for this topic.
*As a useful way to remind myself in the exam, I put *APPLY* in my checklists so I can apply the law to the facts of the scenario given. With the stress of the exam and timed conditions, it is easy to forget that you are advising the client and need to tell them how the law APPLIES to their situation*
Let me know what you would like to see next?
